Working with Flash

For some reason I am very intimidated by Flash. Of course the adobe tutorials are ok, but the other tutorials with no sound are almost unbearable and impossible to watch and learn from for me. For the longest time I thought that they were just not compatible with mac because tutorials need sound. Some of the tools are similar to other adobe programs which is a life saver so that I'm not totally lost and confused. Playing around on my own has been helpful, but I still feel somewhat directionless. I'm hoping that in one of our upcoming classes we will get some more instruction and that I will become more comfortable and confident in Flash.

Photoshop

I really enjoy working with Photoshop. I am not very good at it yet, but some of the tutorials on the adobe website were helpful in guiding me through the learning process. As for the assignment, I felt like my skills were not yet good enough to give me something that I am proud of doing. I learned only from watching the adobe video tutorials and from my own research on how to do certain things. Overall, at least I have a "working" knowledge of the program for if and when I decide to use it.

Hi, I will be using this blog to write about my experience in IT 740 with Dr. Wang. I am working on my PhD in Mass Comm with a minor in IT. For me, these two fields easily go together in many ways. I am excited to merge the two with things I learn from this particular class.
